Lesson Objectives

By the end of this lesson, the student should:

(1) Recognize biblical examples of suffering that resulted from human wrongdoing.

(2) Understand the difference between God’s punitive judgment on sinners and corrective discipline for believers.

(3) Respond in humility and submission to God’s discipline.

(4) Be prepared to minister to believers who are suffering because of God’s discipline.
